Education Consultation & Advocacy

Educational Advocacy, Parent Coaching & School Consultation

When your child is struggling in school, it rarely feels like “just school.”

For many families, school impacts far more than academics—it affects confidence, emotional wellbeing, behavior, family stress, and a child’s sense of identity. Whether your child attends private school, charter school, public school, gifted programming, specialized learning environments, or academically rigorous programs, navigating educational systems while advocating for your child’s unique needs can feel overwhelming, isolating, and deeply personal.

Research continues to show that parental involvement in a child’s educational journey not only supports academic success, but also positively influences confidence, motivation, classroom behavior, attendance, emotional regulation, and overall self-esteem.

You know your child better than anyone.

Parents and guardians bring something no school team, specialist, or educational professional can replicate—a lifetime of connection, insight, and understanding of their child’s physical, emotional, developmental, social, and family history.

You are often the only consistent voice throughout your child’s entire educational journey.

And yet—even highly educated, successful, deeply involved parents can find themselves feeling overwhelmed by school systems, educational language, meetings, assessments, accommodations, and the pressure of making the “right” decisions.

School Consultant, Advocate & Parent Coach

Whether navigating IEPs, 504 Plans, psychoeducational evaluations, intervention planning, gifted programming, private school accommodations, behavioral concerns, or placement decisions, many families find themselves asking:

“Am I asking the right questions?”
“Am I missing something?”
“How do I advocate without becoming the difficult parent?”

You do not have to navigate that alone.

Your voice matters. Your instincts matter. Your role as your child’s advocate is invaluable.

You do not have to navigate that alone.

Meet Our School Advocate & Educational Consultant

Daniela Ruiz brings over 17 years of experience in public education, along with a deep understanding of the realities families face across public, charter, private, and specialized academic settings.

As a mother of two uniquely wired and extraordinary daughters, Daniela also understands this work from a deeply personal place. She knows firsthand the emotional complexity of advocating for a child’s wellbeing, educational needs, accommodations, and long-term success—especially when the path is not always straightforward.

Her approach is warm, strategic, collaborative, and grounded in helping families feel informed, empowered, and confident as they advocate for the support their child deserves.

ADHD Support Beyond Medication
If your child struggles with ADHD and you feel uncertain about medication—or simply want to explore additional options—you are not alone.

At STT, we understand that every child’s nervous system, learning style, and developmental needs are unique.

Our clinicians work with families to support ADHD through evidence-based, non-medication approaches when appropriate, including:

  • Behavioral therapy strategies

  • Parent coaching and home-based interventions

  • Executive functioning support

  • Emotional regulation skills

  • School collaboration and accommodations

  • Lifestyle, sleep, movement, and nutrition-based support

Our goal is not a one-size-fits-all solution—but to help identify the combination of supports that allows your child, and your family, to thrive.

Parent Coaching & Family Support

Parenting a sensitive, strong-willed, neurodivergent, high-achieving, or struggling child can be deeply rewarding—and incredibly demanding.

Sometimes even the most loving, capable parents feel exhausted, second-guess themselves, or wonder if what’s worked before simply isn’t working anymore.

Our parent coaching services are designed to support you—not judge you.

We partner with families to explore challenges, identify strengths, and develop practical tools that align with your values, parenting style, and long-term goals.

Parent coaching may support:

  • Behavioral challenges

  • ADHD and executive functioning concerns

  • Stress-related parenting challenges

  • Anxiety, emotional regulation, and meltdowns

  • Developmental support and age-appropriate expectations

  • Parenting during major transitions or family crisis

  • School stress, academic pressure, and perfectionism

  • Boundary setting, consistency, and confidence as a parent

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to parenting.

Our goal is not to tell you how to parent—but to help you parent with greater clarity, confidence, connection, and support—so your entire family can grow from a place of empowerment, resilience, and trust.
